Given the problems with keeping StanCam cold, a CryoTiger has been ordered to be able to keep the camera cold without the need to refill it continuously. Like for the PTR of NOTCam, the idea is to install the unit in the machine room and run up the hose to the observing floor. The plan is to send StanCan to CUO for testing, before shipping it back with the CryoTiger unit. In principle, when ALFOSC is mounted, StanCam can be shipped without harm to the observations. However, at the time of writing no firm dates have been set.
