In the past there were problems with the NOTCam shutter getting out of sync, and a monitor consisting of two lights to show its status was installed. These lights are hard to see, and require constant attention. To improve this situation, a unit has been made to try and detect when the shutter goes out of sync and sound a buzzer. There are still some teething problems, but this system is expected to be in operation soon.
