Long-slit spectroscopy

A calibration plan for spectroscopy with ALFOSC was drafted which is currently being reviewed.

A high efficiency R$\sim$6000 VPH grism centered on H$\alpha$/LiI6708Å and covering the wavelength range 6400-6800Å was designed and ordered by Michael Andersen. Unfortunately, the grism was ordered in the wrong shape (square rather than circular) and we will have to investigate how to mount it in ALFOSC, as it is too big for the current holes in the grism wheel.

New vertical slits have been manufactured in Copenhagen by Niels Michaelsen. These are to overcome slow readout in windowed 'long'-slit mode as the CCD can be windowed in the column direction.
