Spectroscopy

The aperture wheel of NOTCam was moved by 2mm to be able to get slits in focus with the High Resolution Camera. With this modification it is now possible to do R$\sim$6000 spectroscopy using the HRC in the $J$, $H$ and $K$ filters, but $Z$ band spectroscopy with HRC will not be possible as the focus mechanism does not have enough range. Again, mostly the weather has prevented first light and commissioning of HRC spectroscopy with NOTCam. The overall efficiency (atmosphere, telescope, instrument, detector) for spectroscopy with the grism using the Wide Field Camera was found to range from $\sim$3% in the $Z$ filter to $\sim$6% in K.

Various parts of the spectroscopic calibration plan have been implemented during the semester to monitor the instrument and help with setting-up the instrument.
