We want to obtain the following sequence of exposures: 15s normal tracking in V 15s normal tracking in R * 200s normal tracking in V 6x200s diff. tracking in V 6x200s diff.tracking in R 200s normal tracking in R * 15s normal tracking in V 15 normal tracking in R We want 15s exposure just in the beginning and the end of observations. The sequence between * * is supposed to be repeated as many times as there is time. For the repeated sequence there is a script attached (comet67P_AL_0316.script, note that this differs from the usual monitoring script!). The 15s images are not part of that script and should be taken manually. Attached are also visibility plots and list of coordinates for both nights. The pointing script should find correct coordinates in the file on the instrument computer, but they are attached here only just in case a manual appending is required. The instruction page for the usual monitoring program can be used as a reference (for how to turn on/off differential tracking for example), only thing that differs is the observing sequence (and thus the script to be used). Observations step-by-step: 1. run comet67P_ALpointing.script to point the telescope to the comet 2. take an exposure of 15s in V manually (normal tracking) 3. take an exposure of 15s in R manually (normal tracking) 3. run script comet67P_AL_0316.script 4. run comet67P_ALpointing.script to repoint the telescope 5. repeat step 3. and 4. as long as there is time (but on the last round, don't repoint the telescope before steps 6. and 7.) 6. take an exposure of 15s in V manually (normal tracking) 7. take an exposure of 15s in R manually (normal tracking) If the night is photometric, also a photometric standard star field in V and R would be nice.
