P64-018: Probing the strongly variable inner surroundings of UX Orionis stars

PI: A. A. Djupvik

Four different UX Orionis stars will be monitored, particularly when they are entering their faint phases. Note that the brightness of the targets may be different from the finding charts due to the (irregular) variable nature of the sources.

Daytime calibrations:

fies.fies-calibs -fib 1 in the evening before the observations.

Monitoring and SoftToO triggers

Observing mode: FIES fiber 1

The OB generator will be used to request all observations.
The SoftToOs will automatically appear on the OB queue and scripts in the directory ~/scripts/64-018/.

The monitoring OBs will be queued by staff and will need to be compiled by the observer.

For the observer:

Go to the directory
  cd ~/scripts/64-018
List the available scripts
  ls -lrt
and execute the OB generated script for the appropriate date as requested.

Remember to fill in the tracking reports and make sure you select correctly Mon or SoftToO.
