This is a Monitoring program using FIES.

Instrument setup

  • FIES

  • Low-res fiber F1

Afternoon instructions

  • Run afternoon calibrations: fies-calibs -fib 1

Observing instructions

  • On the Queue page, make sure the OB-generated observing script is written to disk, or else 'compile'

  • Go to directory: cd ~/obs/scripts/68-021/ and do ls -lrt

  • Start the requested OB generated script

I reran the script, and the same thing happened, but then I just let the script run. There were no clouds visible, and the guiding was working well, so I don't know what caused this. Nevertheless, the acquisition field did not move during the observations. I noticed this as there was a visible target in the top-right corner of the FIES acquisition image the whole time. Observed
