P71-006: Discovering and characterizing the counterparts of gravitational waves

Normal ToO/SoftToO triggers
These can be with ALFOSC, STanCam and NOTCam. Hard ToO triggers have override
status, and OB generated scripts will be automatically placed in the directory
~/scripts/71-006/.

NB! SPECIAL ALFOSC ToO TRIGGERS!
These are hard ToO triggers to be started asap!
The triggers arrive by email and phone to the control room. They
will use special scripts to observe 20 galaxies in one go.
There will be no OBs in the QUEUE.
The email will give the trigger NAME and explain the 3 steps the observer has to do:
- Go to the directory and run a script that fetches remote information:
- cd ~obs/scripts/71-006
- getScripts NAME
- ls -lrt
- Run the script that uploads the list of targets to the TCS:
- Run the script that will execute the sequence of observations:
There will be no OB in the queue to update, but please, update the
ToO
tracking log of this program.
If 20 galaxies are to be observed the whole sequence will take about 20 x 5 = 100 min.
If the PI asks you to interrupt, perhaps because a counterpart has been found,
use Ctrl-C for each of the subsequent targets (i.e. you need to Ctrl-C multiple times).
