P72-020: Physical properties of near-Sun asteroids via polarimetry
PI: Mikael Granvik
This is a SoftToO (1 hour) and Monitoring program (10.4 hours) using ALFOSC imaging polarimetry of objects with non-sidereal tracking.
The PI will indicate as a comment in the OBs the correct name to use for
the target and the exact use of the command tcs.asteph.
Instrument setup:
- FAPOL: lambda/2
- ALFOSC: Calcite
- ALFOSC: UBVRi.
Daytime calibrations:
- Polarimetric domeflats.
- Evening twilight flats.
- Morning alfosc-calibs.

The OB generator will be used to request all observations.
For the observer:
Go to the directory
cd ~/scripts/72-020
List the available scripts
ls -lrt
and execute the OB generated scripts for the appropriate date as requested.
Please, update the
SoftToO or
Monitoring tracking log of this program.

Thin clouds, and the seeing was around 1.4". Guiding was lost during the initial acquisition
attempts; therefore, the OB was restarted to re-acquire the guide star and ensure consistent
guiding for the remainder of the observations. |
